Lyall Bay is popular year round for surfing, dog-walking, surf lifesaving, rock exploring, plane and ferry spotting, eating and drinking. There are numerous excellent cafes, along with ice cream, takeaways, and other retail outlets close by. Depending on what movie is in production at the studios in Miramar, you may see famous faces at one of the eateries. The long sandy beach attracts walkers in virtually every weather.
This cache is designed to take you from one end of the bay around to the other. The best way to arrive is by the number 3 bus which terminates close to WP1. Once you've finished, a 10 minute walk from the cache's physical location will take you back to another bus stop to head home.
