Geocache Description:

GAGB

The Geocaching Association of Great Britain (GAGB)

invite you to meet the committee and join us for a chat.

Saturday 15th April
1-4pm

Please come and join us at

Malham Youth Hostel
Malham,
North Yorkshire, BD23 4DB

This is the sixth in a series of regular, roving GAGB events. The first few have been organised by GAGB committee members, and in future we'll invite the wider caching community to organise events in all regions - keep up with our for details. The main purpose of these events if to welcome along geocachers who haven't been to events before, and to meet more experienced geocachers for everyone to discuss caching, find out what GAGB do and can do, and take advantage of the area to find a few caches.

The Malham YHA are hosting us for this event, so you are welcome to stay in the hostel or their hobbit houses (if available), or just come along for the event. If the weather is good look for our gazebo, else look indoors where the hostel has set aside a room for us.

The YHA is open all afternoon, and besides usual café fare there is also there is a freely available kitchen if you want to bring along your own teabags and so on!

There is a cache on the grounds as well as a mini series of unofficial caches ideal for families with young kids (under ten) who want to learn about geocaching. There are a few caches in the dale, and of course a visit to Malham would not be compete without the hour-or-so round trip walk to and it's earthcache. For folks who don't 'get' earthcaches we'll arrange for an optional group trip there and back to help explain earthcaches and what to look for - and someone will be on the event site at all times.

Please bring your swapables and collectables, join in the geo-chat and enjoy a stroll around the lake.
If you would like to learn more about Geocaching, caching containers, GAGB, events, Seeker, hosteling, or anything related, please come and visit our Geocaching help tent (or table!) and ask away!
Come and have a chat with the GAGB committee and find out what we do. We are hoping the weather is kind to us.

When you post a "Will Attend" log, please let us know how many people you expect and how many cars you will be coming in (or who you are sharing with). This will help plan parking arrangements.
Information about the GAGB can be found on this web site.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!
