We were camping, four wheeling and geocaching in one of our favorite places, the San Juans, and we brought a cache with us to place in the area. We were going to place it on one of our four wheeling trips high in the mountains, but decided that the amount of time it would be unavailable due to the snowpack would be too much. After all we were placing it out there for people to find and enjoy. We love Silverton, so decided to place the cache with a view of the town and within reasonable access year-round. The cache is an ammo box with a number of things in it we thought most people would enjoy exchanging something for.
