Breakfast Prize Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The Breakfast Prize cache is located in a kind of "secret garden" on county parkland that is unknown to most area residents.
This cache is an ammo box with an official geocaching.com sticker on the outside. It was presented to me as a door prize for attending the Geocacher's Breakfast Meeting on 2002.7.13 in Roanoke, Virginia. It contains a pencil, a pencil sharpener, 6 pens, a stapler with box of staples, a staple remover, a pack of Postit notes, a set of screwdriver bits, and a 3-cassette audiobook about meditation. There is a baggie of toys with a VT smiley helmet, a pocket knife, a toy car, 2 bracelets, and a key ring.
The terrain is a little tough if you take the direct route. However, park at N37 13.586, W80 4.023 and then take a trail to N37 13.517, W80 4.045, then proceed toward the cache. The parking place is 1713' ASL and the cache is at 2043' ASL, so you'll climb only about 330 feet. Bug spray and long pants are recommended.
