Geocache Description:

Number 11 in a walk from Stanton-by-Dale to Dale Abbey and back. The entire walk is described here and I would advise that you download and print a copy of this pdf for easier route navigation.

Lest we Forget caches are based on war memorials and even the smallest of villages has a memorial to honour the dead of the Great War. The sleepy hamlet of Dale Abbey war memorial needs to be visited to find this multi cache.

The final cache can be found at 52 56.abc -1 20.abd

a What day in April did John Deaville die?

b What day in September did Horace Wheatley die?

c Number of men commemorated for the sacrifice in the Great War

d Number of men called George who made the sacrifice

checksum: the 4 digits a+b+c+d add up to 23

congratulations to Alfreton Divers on a late night FTF

Note added 1 week after going live: I have already had to attend to 4 of the 19 caches on this series. Please replace caches as you find them and feel free to email or leave a note if you find a damaged cache. It is clearly too much for some of our caching community to replace things as found, so intent are they on moving on to the next smiley.
