Geocache Description:

This cache is in Pokagon State Park. There is a small entrance fee to Indiana State Parks, but they are well worth it. I placed this cache with the help of my nieces Bridgett and Camber who were visiting from Tacoma, Wa.and 2 of my dogs and the grand dog Orson. We also had a great time on the trails hunting the other Pokagon caches.

I have been coming to Pokagon for many years and thought this would be a great place for a cache. There are currently about 5 other caches at Pokagon, so you can make an entire day of caching and hiking. If you like to camp, there are 5 campgrounds, a lake for swimming, a nature center, picnic areas, and new this year- bike trails. If you come in the winter you can stay at the great lodge and use the toboggan run. The cache is hidden at a popular spot,and it's being renovated. Much more open now so please take care that there aren't others around when you zero in on it. I'm afraid it won't last long if non-cachers see you retrieve it. Pick up a park map at the gate or Nature Center showing all the trails. Cache is in an ammo box. If you are coming from Ohio, traveling WEST on the turnpike, look for "80 / 90 WESTBOUND CACHE" on the way and Outlet TB Motel at the exit.
