This cache is located in a great little campground near the scenic Sol Duc River. The trail to the cache is maintained, although not well-defined. Be sure to use caution exploring the surrounding steep! hillsides that are sloughing off towards the river. The 'skeetos are pretty thick when the weather's warm, so prepare yourself appropriately.
I've camped in this area a few times over the years and I love it every time! The area is owned and maintained by a local timber operating company and all the sites (including a large covered recreational area w/a stove!) are available free of charge. It's a pretty great thing!
The cache is located along a trail that will lead you to some cool views of the river after an enchanting stroll through the forest. It doesn't get a whole lot better than this, I tell ya!
