Il Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) è un'iniziativa ambientale sostenuta dalla comunità del geocaching. Dal 2002, i CITO hanno aiutato a preservare la bellezza naturale degli ambienti più adatti per fare geocaching. Da allora, più di 363.000 persone hanno partecipato volontariamente a 18.000 eventi CITO.
In occasione dei CITO, i geocacher e altri volontari lavorano insieme per migliorare i parchi e altri ambienti naturali e/o artificiali. Raccolgono la spazzatura, piantano alberi, rimuovono le specie invasive, costruiscono percorsi, e altro ancora.

Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 363,000 people have volunteered at 18,000 CITO events.
At CITO events, geocachers and community groups work together to improve parks and other outdoor environments. They clean up litter, plant trees, remove invasive species, build trails, and more.
