THE DATE: 13 April 2017
THE PLACE: Sine Irish Pub and Restaurant
THE TIME: 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Join us to celebrate a German tradition with some Irish food on 13 April, from 5:30 to 7:30pm!
Dönerstag commemorates the German Geocaching tradition of meeting on Thursdays in döner restaurants. They call this Dönerstag, which is a pun because it closely resembles the German word for Thursday. This event will not be in a döner restaurant, but instead at an Irish pub in Pentagon City.
Everyone is welcome at this Irish Style Dönerstag in Pentagon City event. While the pub does not have much in the way of German cuisine, there is plenty of good stuff on the menu. For those who are of age (and not driving), the Irish are known for being good at some of the same things Germans are also known for. Be sure to bring your appetite, your Geocaching stories, and your trackables. (Please be extra careful to attend your trackables, as they can be lost or muggled in public venues such as this.)
The venue is located in the courtyard area of the Pentagon Row Shopping Plaza, in the same courtyard as the ice skating rink (which is still going, as I type this). It is near metered surface and underground parking to the north and south, and a large parking deck for Pentagon City Mall just to the east. It is also a short walk from the Pentagon City Metro stop, through the shopping mall, out the back, and into the courtyard.
The coordinates will take you to the front door of the restaurant. There is a reserved room in the back of the pub for the event.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, as described in the attributes.
