Geocache Description:

Tweezers would be helpful for this Micro. From this view point you can see all kinsale harbour. From the left, tucked in behind the trees is Summercove, next you can see the star shaped walls of Charles Fort, further down the coast line you can see the Kinssale boat yard and Lower Cove. Out in the harbour entrance, between the headlands, you should be able to make out the Bulman Buoy. Dead ahead you can see the ruined James Fort on the top of the hill completed in 1607. Castle Park marina is over at 1 o'clock and the new bridge In the distance marking the start of the Bandon river. Then you can clearly see kinsale town, the RNLI station, Trident Hotel, kinsale marina and yacht club. Next is Actons hotel with the town hall above then on the top of the hill is the old convent. And off to the right in the foreground is the hamlet of Silly, from where there is a walk along the waters edge under this viewpoint back round to Summer Cove and Charles Fort again. Hope you agree this is a fantastic view!
