Geocache Description:

This cache is located in spectacular Gros Morne National Park, about 2km along the James Callaghan trail to the summit of the 806m Gros Morne Mountain

This cache is a typical pail - about 8" in diameter and 8 inches high. It's painted brown and green, and is marked with the word 'GEOCACHE'.

Not quite 2km from the parking area, the cache is hidden behind the stump of a fallen tree about 4 meters to the right (east) of the trail. There is a rest area with benches and outhouses about 200m past the cache area. If you feel like a longer hike, continue to the base of the mountain (about another 2km) and if you're feeling adventurous, climb to the summit. At 806m it's the second highest mountain on the island. The views from the top are spectacular and well worth the challenging climb.
