Many years back you could actually drive out to Red Cliff, now it's a great hike along the wide open, former road. Terrain is pretty easy going. The area is very popular with hikers accessing the East Coast trail system and dog walkers out for a little exercise.
We hiked out to Red Cliff this Winter/Spring morning with my Cub Pack. Had a small campfire roasted a few hotdogs and learned a few lessons in winter hiking and fire lighting. A fantastic morning all around. On our way back out the trail we decided to place a cache to mark the event. So with a little help from on of my Cubs we selected a hiding spot for this hide.
Cache should be a pretty straight forward find. Just a short ways off the main trail/road this is a winter friendly cache with just enough room for a few small trade items. At the time of placement there was a TB for the FTF reward. Watch your step, it may be a bit wet underfoot.
