This path is the remains of an old trolley line, and this section of it runs between North Country Club Drive and Narragansett Parkway. We would walk this path daily to stop at the Parkway Variety store to see Jim and Linda, and buy sodas, cigarettes, and some of those wonderfully greasy pizza strips. I sure wish some crazy entrepreneur would buy the old store building, fix it up and reopen the store. What a great return to the old days that would be!
This cache is a medium sized lock and lock container that contains a log, pen and some swag items for the kids, a cool coin for the FTF, and a travel bug that we picked up recently in North Carolina. Please help him along on his way. You can access this cache by parking in the small parking lot on Narragansett Parkway, across the street from the old store building, or at the other end of the path on North Country Club Drive. Please handle with care, and be sure to properly reseal and rehide the cache. As with any hike through wooded areas, please be wary of thorns and poison ivy, and be prepared for bugs like ticks and mosquitos. Good luck and Happy Hunting!!!
