There used to be a geocache placed here once before, but was archived for whatever reason.
I have been passing by this location numerous times whenever traveling east/west on US HWY 24 throughout the years. At this location, there are 2 graves of 2 little boys that died a few days apart in November 1877. Always thought that another geocache placed close by would honor these 2 little boys - today, finally placed one. When emplacing this cache, got to share a spectacular Kansas sunset with the 2 little boys.
There really is not many spots to place a cache close to those graves, so found a likely location just down an access road to a farmstead.
Cache coordinates will place the visitor center-mass of a small bridge/culvert along an access road next to a larger highway bridge. There is a YELLOW/BLACK object at each corner of said bridge. It is up to you, the wiley geocaching adventurer that you are to choose the correct object with the cache hide!! DO NOT attempt this cache from the highway. IF you do, you may have a bad day. Typical cache hide for this type of location, nothing fancy.
Waypoint coordinates for the actual graves & the access road. Geocache hidden just further west of there. Access road is safe enough to travel on (hardtop), just be careful how/where you park.
In order to get to this location, travel west on US HWY 24 for roughly 15.5 - 16 miles from Clay Center, KS, until you reach the coordinates. Or travel east on US HWY 24 towards Clay Center, KS, until you reach the coordinates. Cache and little cemetery will be on south side of highway.
