Nad Šitom glava oz. Šitna glava (2087m) je najlažje oz. najhitreje dostopni slovenski dvatisočak, kadar je cesta na Vršič prevozna. Kljub temu je vrh manj popularen kot sosednja Mala Mojstrovka. Iz celotne poti se odpirajo lepi razgledi na gore med Špikom in Prisojnikom. Kratka tura za dni s "časovno stisko".

Opis poti:
Iz Vršiča se vzpnemo proti zahodu po 'Plazu' direktno oz. v ključih. Kmalu bomo na naši levi opazili očitno sedlo Vratca, kjer vodi 'običajna' pot na Mojstrovke, povsem na desni pa se odpira teren proti Šitni glavi. Široko pobočje prečimo proti desni in se vzpnemo na najvišji del grebena. To je Šitna glava - 'ponižna' soseda Male Mojstrovke. Spustimo se po smeri vzpona.

Nad Šitom Glava or Šitna Glava (2087m) is a 2000-meter-mountain with the easiest and fastest access in Slovenia, when the road to Vršič is negotiable. Despite this, it is much less popular than its famous neighbor Mala Mojstrovka. A great short tour that offers splendid views on the mountains between Špik and Prisojnik.

Directions:
From Vršič ascend westwards directly or in hair-pins across the wide and steep slope. Soon you will notice a clear saddle called Vratca on your left, where the 'usual' path to Mojstrovka leads, but on the far right opens a terrain towards Šitna Glava. Traverse the wide slope towards the right and ascend to the highest part of the ridge. This is Šitna Glava – a 'humble' neighbor of Mala Mojstrovka. Descend in the direction of the ascent.
The starting point is Vršič pass (1611 m), on the road 'Kranjska Gora – Bovec'. In case the road is not wholly negotiable due to snow, you have to park lower, which can make the tour much longer.
