How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The coordinates will take you the middle of an old bridge on the Ardee/Dundalk Road. There is a stone engraving there which commerates the updating of the Bridge in 1822. There are several places to pull in off the road in the vicinity of the cache.

As you look past the monument on the bridge you'll see a cluster of trees. According to the OS 50:000 maps this is the remains of a motte. There is no public access to the motte.

The cache is a standard micro. tucked in out of sight. It is not reachable by a wheelchair user. It is looped in place in case it rolls out so please try not to drop it as you replace.

No throw downs. If you can't find it, log the DNF and I will check it. If it's missing you'll be offered the option of claiming a find. I dont require cachers to revisit muggled caches.

Additional Hints (Decrypt)
