Cleburne State Park, Texas. $5 entrance fee for adults. Open daily 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. Park permit for the geocache on file.
This is a beautiful little state park that we discovered about 10 years ago. If you're lucky enough to go on a weekday it will feel like you have the trails to yourself.
The easiest and shortest way to reach this cache is by parking at the Coyote Run trailhead. It's located on Coyote Run Nature trail, which is our favorite trail in this park. You're getting close after you pass the park bench, which will be on your left. Cache is a matchstick container hanging in a cedar tree. This is not a full cedar tree so there will be no digging through thick branches. Please be sure to place the container back in the wire holder. Some bushwacking required as you leave the trail.
Good luck and enjoy this gem of a park!
Congratulations to Sassyjr for the FTF!
