In generations past, you could have had a steak dinner at this location. Now, it's just another dilapidated and abandoned building. Even the nearby trees aren't looking too good.
Apparently, the Smelley family operated the Cattle Baron Country Steakhouse (or something like that – we couldn't find the exact name) at this location for many years, offering country music and big steaks.
Did you ever go to this place when it was open? We never knew about it until recently. And it's hard to find much about it online, but there is a discussion of the place here: http://www.city-data.com/forum/fort-worth/151379-white-settlement-rd-towards-parker-county.html
The type of hide will be obvious once you arrive. It's on the public right of way, so you won't have to worry about the No Trespassing sign. But this isn't about the hide. It's about the unique history of this location. And if you arrive from the south, you'll get a great hilltop view on the way.
