Parking is shown coming down from my kid's Eagle Scout service project kiosk on Observation Road along the Turkey Hill Trail spur. That approach is steep but a blue-blazed trail about 1.5 miles roundtrip from parking. Area above allows hunting. Plan accordingly and wear orange when hunters do. The flat approach is roughly near the 4.5 mile marker on the ELGT.
This is a great area to hike throughout the year. You might notice leaves changing color, different birds (I usually see bald eagles, sometimes osprey, always vultures), and changes to the Susquehanna River and its banks. There is currently an osprey nest on the platform in the river between mile markers 4.5 and 5. I saw two ospreys the day I placed the container.

The ELGT is a 5.25 mile trail which begins at the base of Turkey Hill Point and currently ends near the Safe Harbor Dam. Manor Township is working on renovating the trestle bridge. The trail is 12 feet wide compressed stone with elevated observation decks, natural waterfalls, a restored caboose, picnic tables, benches, and restrooms along the way. It follows an abandoned right of way of the Enola Low Grade Railroad, one of several branch lines of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Caches in this series have been hidden by members of the L.O.S.T. group. L.O.S.T. is the Lancaster Organization for Seeking Tupperware. Visit our profile L.O.S.T. for more information on our group. Our monthly events are the first Tuesday evening of each month at varying locations. That calendar isn't updated, but we really do meet every month. Search for local events.
The container is located somewhat near a climbing cliff as well as groundzero for a previous cache (E.B. Neff 1906 - GC4PTH4). Please explore that area as well but don't carve your name as EB Neff did over 110 years ago. His graffiti has stuck around.
Congratulations to NoBlueCircles and his kids for the FTF. The 5-year-old and 3-year-old walked down and up and NBC pushed the stroller. No complaints! The 3-year-old was singing.
