Heading up the Limekiln trail, I stopped here to rest and check out the view of the neighboring ridge. This spot is almost directly opposite Laying Pipe: Hardcore Hiker #8, which was my primary destination for this hike. I must admit I was a bit intimidated at seeing it from this vantage point. I placed this cache in the nearby grove of madrones to avoid all of the thistles and other unpleasant-looking undergrowth around the tower.
You're looking for a camo'd pill bottle hanging in the grove of madrone trees just off the trail. There's some poison oak sprouting up here and there, but none in the immediate vicinity of the cache. Enjoy the rest while you search for the cache! It's a long hike to get here, no matter which route you take.
