Dopo che generazioni e generazioni di bambini gli hanno giocato intorno per molto tempo, utilizzando la sua forte schiena come scivolo, l’Orso Marcello è stato costretto a quasi 10 anni di letargo, a causa dei lavori di costruzione dei box sotterranei che hanno fatto chiudere il giardinetto in cui era sistemato. Alla fine dell’estate del 2009 i lavori sono stati terminati e i giardini, completamente rinnovati, sono stati riaperti, con una sorpresa: ora sono dedicati proprio all’Orso Marcello, da sempre compagno di giochi dei bambini del quartiere.
L’Orso, invece, troppo vecchio e troppo fragile, ha trovato una nuova sistemazione su un piedistallo vicino all’ingresso del giardinetto: ora, con una posa malinconica, si limita a guardare i bambini che giocano e le persone che passano, tra le quali i bambini di un tempo, ormai cresciuti, che spesso gli porgono un saluto ricordando dei tempi spensierati in cui bastava un orso di cemento per inventarsi le più grandi avventure.
Nota: la cache è difficilmente accessibile il martedì dalle 7.00 alle 14.00 e il sabato dalle 7.00 alle 18.00, perché sono giorni di mercato.
ENGLISH: MARCELLO THE BEAR
After a long time spent playing with many children, who used its strong back as a slide, Marcello the Bear was forced to almost 10 years of hibernation, because of the construction of the underground parking garages that also forced the playground where he was placed to remain closed. In late summer of 2009, the construction works were completed and the playground, after a complete renovation, was reopened: it was also named after Marcello the Bear, playmate of all the children of the area during the years.
The Bear, instead, too old and too fragile, found a new place on a pedestal close to the entrance of the playground: now, with a melancholy look, it merely stares at the children playing and at the people passing by, while the children of the past, now grown-up, often bring it their greetings, remembering of the old carefree days when a bear made of concrete was enough to live the greatest adventures.
Note: Tuesday from 7.00am to 2.00pm and Saturday from 7.00am to 6.00pm there is a farmer's market in this street, thus the cache is accessible with much more dificulty.
