This series complements the SEBC series, and will take the cacher through some lovely countryside, with great views of the Rivers Stour and Orwell, the docks at Felixstowe and Harwich, and the little but beautiful Shotley Gate. Toilets are open to 1900 in Shotley Gate. Drinking stops are available both ends of the walk, but more so in Shotley Gate. I would suggest parking on Bristol Hill, which is free, or down by the river side at Shotley Gate. There's a frequent bus service from Ipswich with connections county wide, and with the trains at Ipswich Station. This part of the S&E Border Caches are placed on the beautiful Shotley Peninsular, with the beautiful villages of Woolverstone, Chelmondiston, Freston, Harkstead, Edwarton, Shotley and Shotley Gate. Based between the River Orwell and River Stour we can thoroughly recommend visiting the area. If starting this series from this cache the caches from 14-8 may be harder to find during the summer months due to vigorous vegetation growth. This the final cache (or first, and a recent addition) to this series. Well done if you have completed this series- and many thanks for doing these. Now for well earned refreshments! Head towards the nearby pub, hot dog stand or ice-cream van!
