This is a tour of just some of the historic buildings of Abergavenny and you will of course finish with a final cache hunt!
So, to expand, this is a tour Wherigo of just some of the large number of historic buildings in Abergavenny, at each stop you will be given a bit of information about the site and there is someone at each location (except the first) who you will need to talk to get more information and the location of the next building. So it's a bit like an interactive multi really. There are 9 locations plus the final cache and you'll be given the hint for the cache when you get close to it. Should take about 45 minutes to am hour in all and is also an ideal cache for Wherigo beginners.
I have waymarked two nearby car parks for you but there are plenty of other streets and places to park close by where you don't need to pay.
Some Things to Note:
1) I'm sure you know, but to find the cache you will need a Wherigo compatible device with the relevant software installed such as compatible GPS units and smartphones with the relevant app.
2) I haven't tested it on a Garmin GPS (because I don't have one) but I have tried to make it compatible with them - any feedback welcome with that.
3) You will need to download the cartridge HERE
4) I found the pictures within the Wherigo work better when you do not have 'stretch' or 'large' on in your settings (but that might just be me!)
5) It's a peculiarity of the Wherigo platform that the Completion Code it automatically provides you with only works on Wherigo.com if you just use the the first 15 digits, not the whole code (bizarre I know!)
The cache is a micro-sized container with just a log. I wanted to place something larger but the location just doesn't allow it.
