Well, this is it. We've reached the end of our fantastic road trip across Africa: A journey of 20 months, 60'000Km and 29 countries. From Tanger to Cape Agulhas (South Africa) and back up along the East to Entebbe.
One of the most frequent questions people ask us is: 'Which country did you like best?' There is no clearcut answer because every country has its own charm, its own beauty, its own highlights and its own difficulties. In some it is the landscape that mesmerizes, in others it is the sweetness of the people. The most enthralling thing is probably this diversity in nature and in culture. One goes from the vastness of the desert to the thick of the rainforest, moving along different religions, languages and customs, all co-existing more or less peacefully. Now it is time for us to go back. Only the two of us will leave, the car will stay in Africa. To honor this important moment we have hidden a cache near the place where we will be handing the car over to an aid organization. Thank you Africa for all that you have given us. It's been the journey of our lives.

Ebbene si, è giunta la fine del nostro meraviglioso viaggio attraverso l'Africa questo immenso e variegato continente. 20 mesi di viaggio complessivo, 60.000km percorsi e 29 paesi attraversati. Da Tangeri fino a Cape Agulhas (Sudafrica) e poi di nuovo su fino a Entebbe.
Una fra le domande piú frequenti che ci fanno è "Qual'è il paese piü bello". Difficilissima la risposta perchè ogni paese ha il suo charme, la sua bellezza, i suoi imprevisti ed i suoi vantaggi. In certi spicca la bellezza della natura in altri la simpatia della gente. La cosa piú bella è forse proprio la diversità di cultura e di paesaggi. Si passa dall'infinito del deserto alla giungla piú fitta, ogni fede religiosa ed ogni credo vi è rappresentato e tutti convivono (piú o meno) in pace. Adesso è ora di ritornare, torneremo solo noi due mentre l'auto continuerà a correre sulle strade africane. Per suggellare questo momento abbiamo deciso di nascondere una cache vicino al luogo dove ci sarà il passaggio di chiavi con l'associazione umanitaria alla quale abbiamo donato l'auto. Grazie Africa per tutto quello che ci hai dato, è stato il viaggio della vita.
