This is a Wherigo geocache. In order to find the cache, you will need to download and play the Deep Woods Wherigo cartridge, which can be downloaded here:
To play the cartridge, your will need a Wherigo-compatible Garmin GPS receiver, a Wherigo player app for your smart phone, or another device that plays Wherigos. For example, we used the WhereYouGo app on my Android smart phone to test this cartridge. We have also tested the cartridge on the Mrs iPhone using the Wherigo app. If you are using something else, we hope it works!
This is our third attempt at a Wherigo cartridge. This one is not nearly as easy as our previous two cartridges, mainly due to the distance that needs to be covered. Based on our testing, we recommend saving your progress after each stage, in case you have any player or battery issues. Good luck!
In the winter, when the trails are signed x-country skiing only - no hiking, please respect that and do not seek the cache unless you are on x-country skis.
There is a fee for vehicles entering this park when the booth is staffed. Pedestrians and bicycles can enter for free even when there is someone in the booth. No bicycles allowed on the hiking trails though.
There are many other geocaches hidden in this wonderful park, so you may want to plan on spending some time on the trails while you are here.
