Named after the trackable that first made its home in this cache, Narwhal's Hideout is located along the Oakley Cabin Trail in Brookville, Maryland. It is suggested that you park at the Oakley Cabin, and then cross the nearby stream to reach the trail. Follow the trail for some distance to reach the cache.
Oakley Cabin is a historic site, a late 19th century African-American tenant family home. Ample parking is adjacent to the cabin, and the trailhead is to the left of the cabin. You must cross a stream to reach the main trail and the cache. Crossing the stream is moderately challenging. You will need to use stepping stones, as an earthen bridge was washed out by recent storms. The trail itself is clear and makes for a pleasant hike. The trail extends almost all the way from the cabin to Georgia Avenue. The cache is somewhere along the trail. You are looking for a lock-lock box with some fun swag inside.
Please hide the cache well when you replace it.
FTF - pick either the nice pumice stone OR the narwhal trackable (although you are asked to return the trackable to another cache within a week or so after you find it).
