Geocache Description:

This 50th cache in our Song Series is located beyond gate 2050 on E McCreavy Road in Mason County, WA. "Video Killed the Radio Star" is a LOG ONLY cache, so BYOP.

You'll find "Video Killed the Radio Star" a somewhat significant walk behind the gate. It's an easy walk and a great area for kids, but little legs may get tired. It's an excellent opportunity to use your mountain bike!

Back in the day, MTV played music videos and ONLY music videos. Where MTV's main target audience used to be young adults, programming is now geared towards teenagers. Music videos are now reserved for off-peak time periods.

"Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles was the very first music video played on MTV when it premiered at 12:01 am Eastern Time on August 1, 1981. Sometimes the tv screen would turn black when a MTV employee inserted a VHS tape into a VCR.

Cell signal can be poor in this area, so we suggest storing this cache in your "offline" caches or using a GPS device to get the smiley. Due to tree coverage, your GPS may jump around, but GPS coordiantes should put you at GZ, once your GPS settles down.

You may encounter some light brush beating in order to get your smiley, so long pants and long sleeves are advised.

"Video Killed the Radio Star" is a LOG ONLY cache, so don't forget your pen!

Please do not share pictures of the cache.

There is a prize for FTF.
