Project Clean Stream Cache In Trash Out® Event

Local streams and woodlands receive a clean start every spring as thousands of volunteers come out for Project Clean Stream, one of the largest cleanup events in the Chesapeake Bay region. Join the staff at Gunpowder Falls State Park for a clean-up the Big Gunpowder River at Jones Road. At 10:00 a.m, we will meet at the trail head and walk from the parking lot down to the trestle bridge, picking up trash and lopping vegetation along the way. We will wrap-up at approximately 1:00 p.m. It is about a two-mile out-and-back walk along the riverbank on easy terrain. We provide gloves, trash bags and trash pickers. Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring water. There are no facilities on-site so please plan accordingly.
