This is Gearhart's first puzzle
cache! It should be an easy
photo puzzle involving a pleasant walk through the beautiful and
quiet streets of Gearhart and the beach.
Start your walk at the
posted coordinates - the intersection of Pacific Way and Cottage Avenue.
Let the four Pacific Winds blow you North, South, East and West from this
intersection.
As you walk in each
direction, follow Pacific (E/W) and Cottage (N/S) and watch for the sites
depicted in the photos below. The puzzle is to determine which direction
from the posted coordinates each photo was taken.
When you identify a
photo site, note the value associated with the direction you found it in.
These values will later be used to build the cache coordinates.
You should not need to
walk more than a quarter mile in any of the directions.
For the shortest amount
of walking, plan to go west last, and sit at a conveniently located bench or
table in the park when determining the final coordinates.
