Geocache Description:

Take a stroll down the wharf to find this quick grab n' go cache. The cache is located outside and available 24/7.

Walk around the main building on the wharf to the northernmost location to find the cache. Be weary of muggles in the summer as the picnic table area can be crowded. Puget Sound Energy has partnered with the Port of Coupeville to offer several geocaches on Whidbey Island. Make sure to visit Greenbank Farm just 15 minutes south for other PSE and Port of Coupeville geocaches. The Port of Coupeville Wharf was established in 1967, located on Whidbey Island in the Puget Sound situated on the south side of a sheltered inlet known as Penn Cove. Coupeville was founded by Captain Coupe. The town has long been a port and a center for fishing and shell fish. The town was originally built as a small port and its primary business was the import and export of goods between the island and the mainland.
