The Dog Stop Traditional Cache

The Dog Stop is one of two caches placed on Tythrop Way in March 2017. Popular with dog walkers, this location could be somewhere a dog might tug on its owner’s lead to stop for a short while. The cache is a small capsule within a camo host.

We placed five caches around what we call The Track between Moorend Lane and Chinnor RFC in the autumn of 2013. At that time, there were caches that had been placed by another owner to link these two points, to make the route a circular one. These have since been disabled and so now there is a one mile void. This cache and The Brick Wall have been placed to fill that stretch.

At the time of placing this cache a long line of daffodils adorned Tythrop Way.

Recommended parking is close to Chinnor RFC, and at the western end there are usually street parking spaces the estate side of Tythrop Way. Do not use Moorend Lane as shown on maps as this is narrow.

Be careful if with small children as the cache is close to a busy road. Please bring your own pen or pencil. Also a stick, although there are usually some on the ground nearby. Be aware that in warmer weather the way in might be overgrown.
