Originally an ammo box hidden off a trail at Brandywine Springs Park. The ammo box went missing and has been replaced with a coffee container. This letterbox was created by benlorma07 with Brownie Troop #444. There were two log books, one for geocachers and one with a stamp for letterboxers. Now just one log book for both. Please do not take the stamp or inkpad.
It can be done as a letterbox by following these instructions. Start at the parking lot and take the paved trail near the playground. Pavilions should be on your left. Continue on the paved trail until you come to a tree with a sign reads "Trails to Amusement Park Site" (used to be a "Trails to Below" sign here). At this point two pavilions will be on your left, ball field straight ahead and a man hole cover to the right. Take the dirt trail towards the biggest, roundest, tallest tree around. Continue on the trail passing a stone bench on the right, then another huge tree on the left. Stay on the trail until the trail splits (fairly big tree on the right where trails intersect). Now take about 15 paces straight ahead, staying on the trail to the left and look for log pile on the right. After finding use the letterbox stamp and log book.
Beware of muggles on the trails and use stealth. Please rehide well out of site of muggles. No night caching.
Congrats to oboegary & delaware hiker on FTF!
