Scattered throughout New York City are streets that are composed entirely of steps, and steep ones at that. As a rule they were placed on hills that were too steep to build a road, yet in a rare concession to pedestrians, it was determined to allow them access to the streets denied to motor transportation.
This is a trivial field puzzle. Not all aspects of the cache, however, are trivial.
To find the final, find the plaque. Carefully count the letters (only letters) and lines. Add the number of letters to the number of years in between the two dates, subtract the number of lines. Add back the number of lines that contain only years. Jump up, turn around, spit in the air, fall on the ground, and then point in that direction in degrees. Find the significant number. It's in big letters. Multiply it by three, subtract the number of lines. Go that many feet.
Of course, all that is if you're a crow. If you're not a crow, you'll have to figure out a different way. Perhaps you'll want to carry a card with your cardiologist's telephone number. Good luck.
You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
Congrats to leckylove and BobbyBULBs on the FTF!
