The cache is located at one of the numerous entrances to Crofton Woods which is a site of special scientific interest so please respect it when you walk through and do the caches. This cache is near to a field used for the grazing of horses. The footpath links Petts Wood to Crofton.
Did you know? The Manor of Crofton was owned by Archbishop Odo (half-brother of William the Conqueror), who fought at the Battle of Hastings and commissioned the Bayeux Tapestry. He used a heavy club instead of a sword, as members of the church were not allowed to draw blood.
You are looking for a small pot cache at waist height. Mind the barbed wire.
Permission for cache placement obtained from Ian Wright, Biodiversity Advisor and Site Manager for Crofton Woods and from Natural England.
