Dönerstag began in Germany in 2007 when cachers met at kebab shops all over the country on a Thursday i.e. Donnerstag in German. It has continued since and spread to other countries so Groundspeak have decided to produce a souvenir to celebrate this tradition in 2017. This souvenir will be available to anyone logging an event (other than a CITO event) on Thursday 13 April.
The coordinates are outside Manchester Central Library in an open pedestrianised area in St Peter's Square. There are plenty on nearby options for parking and to get yourself a bite to eat over lunchtime as well as excellent public transport links for the whole of the North West.
Given that it’s the beginning of the Easter weekend many people will no doubt be heading away but if you’re either at work during the holidays or in town for the day please come and join us to swap trackables and have a bit of a chat!
