This cache celebrates a huge and beautiful tree.
I was sure it was doomed when plans were announced for a large apartment block. Instead, the whole building appears to have been designed and built around the tree!!
You will approach from the street through a not terribly friendly looking double corridor... but entry IS allowed and you'll be surprised just a couple of meters in, by the beauty of the sight in front and above you. It should be relatively muggle free, but it's worth looking around not only in every direction around you, but also up high above you. That said, I've found that people don't really use their balconies :-)
This location is pretty family friendly. There are a few really good (and new) places to eat around here. In fact, it's not a bad idea to grab a take-away toastie to eat under the tree as a camouflage for your real reason to be there. They've also fixed up the tiny grass area on the other side of the street a bit, so there's space for the small ones to run around and have a picnic instead if you prefer - though there is no play equipment.
The cache itself is a few meters away from the obvious place due to lack of options. A little someone is keeping guard, so look out for the fellow tree-lover. I've put in a pencil and a number of swappables. Enjoy.
ETA; A big Thank You for all the wonderful logs I have received...it brightens my day each time I read them.
