Midsummer Picnic at the Big ‘E’

To mark my first year of geocaching I am holding an event at Burr Point, the most easterly point of Ireland on Saturday 24th June from 6.30 - 7.30 pm. This is also Midsummer’s Day.

The log will be available to sign between these times after which it will be closed and a FTF drawn.

Please BYOP - Bring Your Own Picnic - to Burr Point which is just outside the village of Ballyhalbert on the Ards Peninsula.

You may want to incorporate a day’s caching with this event as there are plenty of caches on the Peninsula and quite a few not far from the event venue.

There is ample parking at the harbour and about half a dozen picnic tables. Although the event ends at 7.30 pm I hope people will stay on for lots more geochat taking advantage of the long hours of daylight.
