Geocache Description:

You are looking for a disguised micro containing a log and a pencil. The location is a busy road but you can park on Sand Lane and walk a short distance to the cache. Please be careful of the ditch and the road if you have children or dogs with you. You will notice there is a farm nearby called Gibbet Farm. Please try not to disturb any supernatural residents.

This is the second cache in the Tom Otter series. The cache is hidden on Tom Otter Lane, where the body of Tom Otter was hung from a gibbet post in March 1806, following his execution for murdering Mary Kirkham just a few hundred yards away on Drinsey Nook Lane. His body remained there for almost 50 years, as a warning to others, until a period of high winds in early 1850 finally blew down the gibbet post. The last remaining piece of the irons, the head-collar, can now be seen at Doddington Hall. For the full story about Tom Otter, please visit The Tom Otter Murder Scene Cache.
