This cache is placed within my morning hiking trail from home and back however, a place, with plenty of parking if you are driving.
"La Ceiba" is one of the most important trees growing in Puerto Rico. Its scientific name is "Pentandra". La Ceiba is a tree that grows as high as 80 feet tall and is well known by many factors; a huge tree trunk green to grey in color and covered with sharp spines. Roots are from sis to twelve inches high diverted within a ten feet radius over the ground. For its importance, "La Ceiba" is protected by law. At the southern City of Ponce Puerto Rico, one of its most visited tourist attarctions is "La Ceiba de Ponce" wich is said to be, 500 years old.
