The Cache
I'm always pleasantly surprised when I find a good sized cache container, so I've placed this traditional Ammo Can in a park beside Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt.
Although it is NZ Defence Force surplus, it is not surplus to requirements any more; there is plenty of room for trackables/swag etc, and I have included a good sized log book (feel free to leave comments).
Parking
Fergusson Drive is a busy road at most times of the day and night, but there is plenty of safe verge-parking.
The Location
I've set the cache in a quiet spot back from the road so you are unlikely to be muggled.
The GZ is protected by a moat that, after rain, can contain a small stream, so for easier access follow the grass route behind the trees beginning beside the railway overbridge (S 41 08.817 E 175 00.481).
Please make sure the cache is replaced as found, cheers.
