The Brownlow Medal was formally Charles Brownlow Trophy.
It is a individual award given to a player who is judged to be the fairest and best player in the
Austalian Football League during the regular season.
This is decided by votes by the officiating umpires after each game.
The Medal has been awarded every year since 1924 with the exception of an intermission
from 1924 to 1945 due to World War 2.
Players are ineligible to win the Medal if they have been suspended for on field offences,
The 1981 Brownlow Medal was a 2 way tie.
They are Barry Round from the South Melbourne [Swans] Football Team
Bernie Quinlan from the Fitzroy [Lions] Football Team.
They each had 22 votes
The cache will be difficult to get if there are any sporting events being held.
