Rules series: Permission (private property) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Knagur Green: Due to no response from the CO after the request to maintain or replace the cache, I am archiving it to, stop it showing on the listings and/or to create place for the geocaching community.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival. This is explained in the Help Center

So many moans and groans about the rules and changes! This series is dedicated to an oraginsed enjoyable game, and highlights some of those rules. For more details, see this link.

Each cache in this series appears to contravene some rule or another, but they do not!

Often cachers may want to place a cache on private property.  This is often a great way to avoid muggling.  It is however expected that permission should be obtained from the owner of the property as they should be aware that many cachers are going to want to come looking for it!  Basically, if you have to go behind a fence next to a road somewhere, it is private property and unlikely a cache would be there unless expressly stated (normally).  Check your coordinates!

In this case you DO need to look behind the FENCE, but permission was NOT obtained!

Note that this is a night cache, for obvious reasons...*big evil grin*
