Geocache Description:

Visit an old timey country town and explore the nooks and crannies locals enjoy. Easy grab and go. Gift for FTF: 1980 Spanish coin. Ole!

Visit the county seat of Hendry County where the pace is leisurely and people welcoming. Chartered in 1925 and named by pioneer cattleman Francis Hendry in honor of his two daughters: LAura and Carrie BELLE , this town maintains its former character while integrating modern ideas and needs. As you drive, its hard to miss the ancient massive Oak Trees hung with Spanish Moss and welcoming a varied population of bromeliads and other plants populating its horizontal branches. Grab and go or linger a while in this pleasantly laid-back historical river town on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River.
