Named for former mayor, Col. Samuel Slover, the Slover Library is Norfolk’s main branch. Col. Slover believed in an informed citizenry and started the company that grew into Landmark Communications. The building comprises the historic Seaboard building and the Selden Arcade with a new three-story structure glass atrium connecting the two. The building also houses the Sargeant Memorial Collection which showcases Norfolk’s history.
