Invader, 1969'da doğan bir Fransız sokak sanatçısının takma adıdır. Adını 1978 yılının arcade oyunu Space Invaders'dan almıştır ve çalışmalarının çoğu, video oyun karakterlerinden esinlenerek yapılmış mozaiklerden oluşmaktadır. Gizli kalmayı ve kimliğini dikkatle korumayı tercih etmektedir. Eserleri 33 ülkedeki 65'den fazla şehirde çok sayıda yerde görülebilir. Her çalışmayı kentte bir "İstila" olarak belgemiş, sokak mozaiklerinin her birinin yerinin kitaplarını ve haritalarını yayınlamıştır.



Kendi kişisel web sitesinde, İstanbul’da 20 adet istilası olduğu belirtiliyor. Ben bunların sadece 15inin yerini bulabilip, bunların içinden maalesef sadece 3 tanesini bulabildim. Amacım hepsinin yanına bir kutu saklayıp herkese bu eserleri tek tek gezdirmekti ancak maalesef çoğu yerinden alınmıştı. Belki de bazıları oradaydı ancak ben göremedim. Bazılarına ise yerlerini hiç bilmediğimden gidemedim. Kutuları bulanlardan ricam, bu sanatçıya ait farklı bir mozaik ile karşılaşırlarsa, bunu kutuya not olarak eklemeleri. Böylelikle, farklı eserleri ya kutuya referans noktası olarak ekleyeceğim, ya da yakınlarına bir kutu daha saklayacağım. Tabiiki bulan kişi de devam ettirebilir bu seriyi isterse.



Mozaiklerin yapıldığı yerlerde zaten hazırda birçok kutu saklanmıştı. Bu sebepten, lokasyon seçmekte biraz zorlandım. Seride 1 numaralı kutuyu mozaikten 100 metre, 2 numaralı kutuyu 15 metre, 3 numaralı kutuyu ise 250 metre uzağa koymak zorunda kaldım. Her kutuya referans noktası olarak mozaiklerin yerlerini ekledim. Kutuyu bulduktan sonra gidip görebilirsiniz.

Invader is the pseudonym of a French urban artist, born in 1969, whose work is modelled on the crude pixellation of 1970s–1980s 8-bit video games. He took his name from the 1978 arcade game Space Invaders, and much of his work is composed of square ceramic tiles inspired by video game characters. Although he prefers to remain incognito, and guards his identity carefully, his distinctive creations can be seen in many highly-visible locations in more than 65 cities in 33 countries. He documents each intervention in a city as an "Invasion", and has published books and maps of the location of each of his street mosaics.



In his personal web site, there seems to be 20 invasions in Istanbul. I found only 15 of them, and unfortunately seen only 3 of them. My aim was to hide a cache next to all of them and to show them one by one, but unfortunately most of them were lost. Maybe some of them were there, but I did not see them. And I could not go to some of them because I never knew where they were. For those who find this cache, please tell me if you find a different mosaic of this artist. You can add this as a note to this cache. So, I will either add it to the cache as another reference point, or I will hide another cache for that mosaic too. Of course, if you want, you can continue this series by hiding that new cache by yourself.



There were already some caches hidden around the mosaics. So, it was a bit difficult to choose a location to hide the caches. I had to put the number 1 cache 100 meters from the mosaic, the number 2 cache to 15 meters, the number 3 cache to 250 meters away. I added the locations of the mosaics as reference points for each cache. Once you find the cache, you can go and see the mosaic.
