Geocache Description:


This walk is a long circular series linking up the villages of South Reston ,Withern, Claythorpe and Authorpe. It takes in some beautiful views and some historic places which we will explain en route. Some of the caches can be done as drive byes or on cycles and we do link up with existing caches in and around the villages. Due to the history all names are in keeping with the historic theme. Authorpe village was mentioned in the domesday book but named as Agetorp. It had a 15th century church  but had to be demolished in 1982. A disused railway line also runs through the village and it had its own station. . The 16th century manor house is grade 2 listed.
