Pinehurst Lake has hosted several caches and we spend a lot time here. The park was so surprised how much we pulled out last year they asked if we would come back again. Additionally park has been open all Winter for day use. To give a little back, let's help clean up the Park just before the season opens. This CITO is set for April 30, 2016 from 9 AM - 1 PM at Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area. It's free to come into the park. We will provide bags and rubber gloves and water.
We recommend you bring your own work gloves. We will bring maps and in instructions on specific areas. Also we will provide some light refreshments. Come go as you would like, stay for an hour or the whole day. Rain or Shine. Boots recommended as trails can be muddy this time of year. Canoes and hip waders are useful tools as the waters edge on this lake is littered with debris.
We are going to meet with the Park staff near the beach area washrooms at 9 AM and someone will remain at this area until 2 PM. Coordinates are attached plus other way-marks. More information to follow. Water and Washrooms are open in the Park near the beach area.
Although it’s not required a logbook will be available to sign at the Meet up location. Please follow signs when entering Park to get meet up area. Last update here on the event page and to way marks will be made by April 28 th at 11:59 PM EST.
