Geocache Description:

A set of 4 caches to celebrate the arrival of Hattie Rosa (sister to Frankie's Mothering Sunday/Frankie's First cache).

They follow the road through Bothenhampton but it is not a circuit and you will have to retrace your steps if walking. Parking could be a problem especially at the Redundant Old Church and I ask you to consider the villagers who live there.

Please bring your own pen and tweezers may be helpful.

Holy Trinity New Church

Bothenhampton, a settlement in Saxon Times and mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086 has progressed through a variety of names (see village web site for more details). The layout of the village is Medieval with an unusual high pavement. Mixed farming along with quarrying, brick and tile making and occupations connected to the sea have been important in the area.

The church is inspired by the Arts and Crafts architecture, blending in with the landscape and built mainly from stone of the local quarry.
