Brochures for the walking tour will be found the ammo can at the 01 BGW – Masonic Lodge cache.
Most of the caches are large green bison tubes hanging at various heights to protect them from flooding that occurs periodically. A note on the cache page will alert you to a different type of container.
16 BGW - Bingham House:
This Greek Revival house was in the 1840s by William S. Ballenger, a county sheriff and sawmill operator. Since 1883 it has been owned by James Carroll Bingham and several generations of his descendants. One Bingham heir recalled that when windows were replaced in the early 20th century workers found loot that had been stuffed in the walls prior to the Union Army invasion in 1865.
