Geocache Description:

You are welcome to join for a silly little event to have a bit of fun on World Wide Flash Mob Day!

Do you remember the 2016 GIFF movie "That's not trash?" That catchy little tune is the theme of this Flash Mob. Please meet at GZ at 1pm either in or with your costume to put on on site if you have one. Costumes should fit the theme so you can dress as a trash bag, box, duct tape, or anything else you find fitting. Please be aware that while encouraged, you do not have to if you do not want to to attend and participate. We will then sing the tune and while it would be wonderful to know the whole rap, if all you remember is the chorus that's okay too. Lastly, we will finish with bubbles.

When- 1-1:30pm on June 10, 2017

Where- The middle of the field of the old Catskill Mountain House site at North/South Lake in Haines Falls, NY

schedule-

1pm-1:15- meet at GZ and sign log/put on costumes (allowing time for those that may be a bit late and getting costumes on as well as signing the log)

1:15-1:18 begin singing

1:18-1:22 bubbles (please bring your own)

1:22-1:24 group picture

1:24-1:30pm- travel bug exchange/finish up/mingle

*All times are based on how long it takes to complete each activity if choosing to participate besides the following:

Start time 1pm

Song (beginning the group activity, but not the event)1:15pm

End 1:30pm

Feel free after the event to stick around and enjoy the day use options. There are many trails to hike (with caches to find), boating, fishing, swimming, and picnic areas to explore. In surrounding areas, there are local shops and restaurants, Hunter Mountain, Kaaterskill Falls, and more.

Note- The terrain rating is set to account for a large hill on the trail to GZ from the day use area. After that hill, it is largely flat nd overall a pretty easy walk of only about .5 miles. GZ is accessable in other ways if you are out hiking already, but the quickest way is the trail off of the day use picnic area. There is a sign indicating where it leads and is easy to find. It serves as a popular look out with a great view.
